For nearly 100 years, the St. Louis Chapter Daughters of the American Colonists has played an active role in St. Louis and the area communities.
Members are descendants of patriots who aided in the formation of our nation prior to July 4, 1776.

Our Society's motto is "Past, Present, Future." Our chapter supports the national goals, Patriotic, Historical, Educational, with many varied activities.

History & Meetings
St. Louis Chapter has the distinction of being MISSOURI'S FIRST CHAPTER!

Members held the chapter's organizational meeting December 30, 1920 at the Planter's Hotel in St. Louis, the same site that the organizational meeting for the National Society had been held just four months prior. The chapter was officially chartered May 26, 1921 just one month after the official incorporation of the National Society. Every organization has a story and ours is rich in history, community involvement, patriotism and historic preservation.

Our Chapter meets at 10:00 a.m. the third Thursday in the months of January, February, April, September & November. In December, we celebrate the Holidays and our Founders with a meeting the first Sunday in December so that our working members are able to participate. Currently our meetings are held in the Chesterfield area but our membership encompasses the entire Eastern Missouri Area (Including the Metro East).

St. Louis Chapter has served both the National Society as officers and committee chairmen with two members having served as National President. Likewise service to the Missouri State Society has always been strong with members serving as state officers and committee chairmen with eight having served as State Regent.

Missouri State Society presents the Norma I Leavene Distinguished Service Award to one member each year. St. Louis Chapter is proud that six members have earned this award.
