Our chapter members share a commitment rooted deep in our heritage and the belief that we can use our resources to encourage patriotism, programs for veterans, education, and historic preservation.  We are also about friendship and community service.

If you share our pride in your heritage and DAC’s commitment to community and country, please consider becoming a member of the Stukely Westcott Chapter.

Our History

In 1951, fifteen women had proven their eligibility for membership in the National Society Daughters of the American Colonists. State Regent Emily Stapleton installed the officers at the home of Mrs. Frank Young.
Organizing Regent Areta Compton Montieth Vance named the chapter in honor of her ancestor, Stukely Westcott..

Membership

Any woman who is a citizen of the United States of America, is of good moral character, and has attained her eighteenth year, is eligible for membership, provided she is a lineal descendant from a DAC ancestor who provided service to colonial America
We can assist you in proving your line to an eligible colonial ancestor.
For information on acceptable service and other membership criteria, please visit our national website or contact us.
