Scholarship information

The Aux Arcs Chapter awards The Betty Lee Johnson Sanwald Memorial Scholarship each year to a graduating student of the Joel E. Barber School District for excellence in American History.

Betty served as the Organizing Second Vice Regent for the Aux Arcs Chapter and was a member of a three-generation family. The family ancestor is Moses Coppedge of Virginia.

The Lebanon High School Junior American History Award winner is selected each year by the Chair of the LHS History Department. The scholarship is currently funded by the Anna Mildred Kinkade Memorial Fund.

Mildred was the Organizing Librarian for the Aux Arcs Chapter. Her ancestor was Richmond Terrill of Virginia.
